Co-Chair- Bob Asher
Bob Asher has been a key figure in Pennsylvania politics for decades. Bob has advised Governors and Attorneys General alike. Bob is a past member of the Republican National Committee and is co-chair of the board of directors for Asher’s Chocolates. He lives in Montgomery County with his wife Joyce.

Co-Chair- The Honorable Tom Corbett
Governor Tom Corbett served as the 46th Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and as Pennsylvania Attorney General from 1995-1997 and 2004-2011. He also served as US Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania from 1989-1993. Gov. Corbett is a distinguished executive in residence at the Duquesne School of Law. He served his country as a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard 28th Infantry Division from 1971 until 1984, rising from private to captain. He lives in Allegheny County with his wife Sue.

Co-Chair- Liz Preate Havey
Liz Preate Havey is a partner at Dilworth Paxon LLP where she focuses on public and project finance, sale of municipal assets and corporate matters. She is General Counsel to the National Constitution Center and a member of the board of the PA Convention Center Authority. She serves as the Secretary of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania and is the immediate past president of the Pennsylvania Society Liz lives in Montgomery County with her husband, Tyler, and their three sons.

Co-Chair- John Verbanac
John Verbanac is the President & CEO of Summa Development, an equity investment & corporate real estate company. He serves as the Chair of the University of Pittsburgh Board of Trustees and First Vice Chair of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) board of directors. He lives in Somerset County with his wife Alberta.


Co-Chair Dave White
Dave White is a third-generation union steamfitter with more than 40 years of experience of HVAC installation and servicing. He is the President and CEO of DWD Mechanical and previously served as a county councilman in Delaware County where he lives with his wife Debbie.     


Director- Kyle King
Kyle King currently serves as the Chief Administrator for the Attorney General-Elect in the York County District Attorney’s office, a position he has had for 18 years. Kyle will serve as chief of staff for Attorney General-Elect Sunday. Kyle recently served as the Chair of the York Opioid Collaborative, a 501(c)3 organization aimed at combatting the deadly opioid epidemic in York County.  Kyle lives in York County with his wife Becca and their two children.

Co-Director- Ryan DeMara
Ryan DeMara served as Dave Sunday’s Campaign manager in the recent election. He is the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for Duane Morris Government Strategies. Previously, Ryan served as Vice-Chairman for the Pennsylvania Young Republicans and has worked on several statewide campaigns. Ryan lives in Montgomery County with his wife, Kirsten.

Co-Director, Communications- Ben Wren
Ben Wren is an associate with Long Nyquist & Associates and Long Nyquist Consulting which served as the Dave Sunday’s General Consultant in the recent election. Ben served as spokesperson for Dave Sunday for Attorney General and previously served as a Chief of Staff in the State Senate. Ben lives in Westmoreland County with his partner, Bill.

Attorney General Elect Dave Sunday
Announces Transition Committee

(Harrisburg, PA)- Today, Attorney General Elect Dave Sunday announced his transition committee. As previously announced, the Transition is being co-chaired by Bob Asher, Former Governor Tom Corbett, Elizabeth Preate Havey, John Verbanac and Dave White. Kyle King, incoming chief of staff, is serving as the director of the transition with Ryan DeMara and Ben Wren serving as co-directors.

Each committee will be asked to engage with stakeholders in their issue area to prepare recommendations and background for their experience with the Attorney General’s office, what is working, what needs improved and suggestions for those improvements. The reports will be due February 28th and will be presented to the Attorney General and his team. The transition has been divided into 4 committees with subcommittees focusing on specific areas under them.

Attorney General-Elect Dave Sunday commented, “In building this transition committee, I wanted to hear from all Pennsylvanians about their experiences with the Attorney General’s office, where it is doing well and where it can be improved. I’m grateful to these individuals for their willingness to serve and to improve the office of the Attorney General. I look forward to their findings.”
